Active riders competing for Team Norick, and graduates who have moved on. Active riders also coach at Norick Academy, while alumni continue to challenge national top categories and the world stage.

Active riders

Kairi Moriyama

Won the series championship in the JP250 National class in 2024. For the 2026 season, stepped up to the ST600 class on a Yamaha YZF-R6, competing in the All Japan Road Race Championship.

Hayato Ichikawa

Moved up from minibike racing to begin competing in earnest with Team Norick from the 2026 season. Took pole position in the JP-SPORT class at Round 1 of the 2026 Tsukuba Road Race Championship. Also competes in the JP-SPORT class of the All Japan Championship on a Yamaha YZF-R3.

Alumni

Kota Nozane

Joined Team Norick as a founding member in 2006 at age 10, racing alongside Norick himself. Began full-time competition in the All Japan Road Race Championship in 2010, moving up to the J-GP2 class in 2011 and winning the All Japan J-GP2 championship in 2013. Made wildcard and substitute-rider appearances in the Moto2 class of the Road Racing World Championship in 2012 and 2013. Left Team Norick in 2014 and went on to join the Yamaha Factory Racing Team. As of 2024, competes in the JSB1000 class for Astemo Honda Dream SI Racing. One of Team Norick's most representative success stories.

Sena Yamada

Joined Team Norick as a founding member in 2006 at age 11, racing alongside Norick himself. In 2015, competed in Round 14 of the Moto3 class of the Road Racing World Championship (MotoGP).

Yuya Kondo

Joined Team Norick as a founding member in 2006 at age 13, racing alongside Norick himself. Went on to step up to the JSB1000 class of the All Japan Road Race Championship, and was set to compete a full 2019 season with GBS Racing YAMAHA. Sadly, he passed away in March 2019, at a young age, following an accident during testing that same year. As one of Team Norick's founding riders, his name is still remembered today.

Takumi Kamiwada

Belonged to Team Norick in the generation following Kota Nozane. Currently an autorace racer affiliated with Kawaguchi Auto Race.

Yuki Okamoto

Built his career at Team Norick in the generation following Kota Nozane, before going on to join the Yamaha Factory Racing Team. Competes in the JSB1000 class and is currently also competing in the Supersport World Championship (WorldSSP). Introduced as one of Team Norick's active riders.

Miu Nakahara

From Kanagawa Prefecture. Got into motorcycles after taking an interest in a pocket bike originally bought for her younger sister, making her pocket bike racing debut at age 11 and her road racing debut in 2014. Joined Webike Team Norick Yamaha in 2015, competing in the regional championship ST250 class. In 2016, competed in the regional championship JP250 class (Motegi, Tsukuba, Sugo) and won Round 2 of the MFJ Ladies Road Race ST150 at the Motegi Road Race Championship. Paired with Ayano Hosaka to win her class at the SUGO 6-Hour Endurance Race in the ST150 category. Has since competed in the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship, and continues to compete at the top level, primarily in the JP250 class.

Keito Abe

Joined Team Norick at age 9. Moved from the J-GP2 class up to ST600. In 2022, competed in both ST600 and JSB1000 (as a spot entry). Later left the team, and in 2024 won the All Japan ST600 series championship with a different team. One of the clearest examples of Team Norick's development program bearing fruit.

Kai Aota

A Team Norick homegrown rider. Competed in the S80 class of the Tsukuba Road Race Championship from around age 13, before stepping up through the J-GP3 and J-GP2 classes. Competed in the 2026 Suzuka 8 Hours endurance road race, and continues to be active at the top level.

Maiki Abe

The eldest son of Norick Abe. Started riding motorcycles at age 13, and began spot entries in the All Japan Road Race Championship ST600 class from around age 17, moving to a full season in 2022. He is currently enrolled at the autorace training school on the grounds of Tsukuba Circuit, as a candidate rider in the 40th class of autorace trainees. As Norick passed away when he was three years old, he has few direct memories of his father, but stands as a symbolic figure carrying on Norick's will, and remains at the heart of Team Norick's story.

Teppei Kugawa

Won the series championship in the JP250 Inter class in 2024. In recognition of this achievement, he was selected in 2025 as a 'YAMAHA YZF-R3 Scholarship' rider under Yamaha's young rider development program, competing in Europe (Yamaha R3 bLU cRU FIM World Cup). His time as a scholarship rider and his European campaign concluded at the end of 2025.
