About
About the Academy
Norick Academy is an on-road racing academy for riders with circuit experience. It is run by Team Norick, a group that has developed world-class riders. Director Mitsuo Abe recreates the methods he learned in joint training with the world's top riders in Europe on the circuit — a structured new program carrying on the lineage of Team Norick graduates.
Coaching
Built around Director Mitsuo Abe's methods, hands-on coaching is led by active riders competing at the All Japan Road Race Championship level. By having front-line riders demonstrate the right technique, we pass on not just skill but the attitude of "building speed the right way" to the next generation (coaching riders vary by session).

Scholarship
Scholarship program
Among Norick Academy participants, top performers aged 14–17 (the eligible age for the JP Sports R3 Cup) are offered a recommendation to a team competing in the "JP Sports R3 Cup," held alongside the All Japan Road Race Championship.
- • Benefit 1: free loan of a YZF-R3 (damage and consumable parts at the rider's expense)
- • Benefit 2: the right to challenge for the YAMAHA YZF-R3 Scholarship
The YAMAHA YZF-R3 Scholarship is a Yamaha development program supporting a wide range of challenges suited to a rider's age and career — a path to the "Yamaha R3 bLU cRU FIM World Cup" in Europe, as well as All Japan ST600 and the "R3 bLU cRU Asia-Pacific Championship." Norick Academy aims to be the gateway to those challenges.
