Privacy Policy

Office Norick Ltd. ("we") handles the personal information obtained in operating Norick Academy (the "Academy") in accordance with the following policy. This English version is provided for reference; if there is any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.
1. Information we collect
When you apply for a course or contact us, we collect the following information.
- Name (kanji and katakana) and date of birth
- Email address and emergency contact (phone number)
- Name of a parent or guardian, for minors
- Years of riding experience, PW KIDS BIKE experience, and the model of the motorcycle you bring
- Whether you have given each required consent
When you submit a form, we also temporarily use information such as your IP address and browser information for the purpose described in section 4.
2. Purposes of use
- Receiving and confirming applications, notifying you of participation, and on-site check-in and safety management
- Contacting you and arranging first aid in an emergency
- Responding to inquiries
- Preventing abuse and mass submissions
3. Disclosure to third parties and outsourcing
Except as required by law, we do not provide personal information to third parties without your consent. However, to the extent necessary for the purposes above, we entrust its handling to the following providers. Each provider handles it in accordance with its own privacy policy.
- Vercel Inc. (hosting of this site): privacy policy
- Neon, LLC, a Databricks, Inc. company (database storing application data): privacy policy
- Resend (email delivery for confirmations and responses to inquiries): privacy policy
- Cloudflare, Inc. (abuse prevention; see section 4): privacy policy
- Upstash, Inc. (abuse prevention; see section 4): privacy policy
All of the above providers are businesses based in the United States. Personal data may be handled by these providers in the United States or elsewhere outside Japan.
4. Preventing abuse
Our application and contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., to prevent abuse and mass submissions. In doing so, information such as your IP address and browser information is sent to Cloudflare and handled in accordance with its privacy policy.
For the same purpose, we temporarily record a value derived from your IP address in a way that cannot be reversed, together with the number of submissions, in a service provided by Upstash, Inc. (it is normally deleted automatically within an hour). We do not record the IP address itself.
5. Retention period
Information related to applications (student information, application details, and consent records) is kept for three years after the student's last session date and then deleted. However, where necessary to deal with an accident or other trouble, we may keep it individually for longer.
Other personal information is kept only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes of use or as required by law, and is deleted promptly once it is no longer needed.
